Information Obligation
The Law grants the relevant persons whose personal data is processed the right to obtain information about who, for what purposes and legal reasons their data may be processed, and to whom and for what purposes it may be transferred, and addresses these issues within the scope of the data controller's information obligation. Accordingly, the data controller is obliged to provide the following information to the relevant person personally or through the person authorized by him/her during the collection of personal data within the framework of Article 10 of the Law:
The identity of the data controller and his/her representative, if any,
The purpose for which personal data will be processed,
To whom and for what purposes personal data may be transferred,
The method and legal reason for collecting personal data,
Other rights listed in Article 11.
In cases where the data processing activity is based on the explicit consent of the relevant person or the activity is carried out within the scope of another condition in the Law, the data controller's obligation to inform the relevant person continues. In other words, the relevant person must be informed in every case where his/her personal data is processed.
